Who We Are & What We Do
At AYA we do drama. Whether you have a passion for the stage or aspire to the screen, we can help you hone your craft and unleash your creativity. We invite people of all ages to find your tribe.
AYA Drama was established in 1994 as an independent drama school to provide training and professional opportunities for talented child actors. Today it is one of the foremost drama training centres for young people in Auckland.
In 2009, stage and screen industry professionals, Jacque Drew and Jeff Szusterman became the AYA Directors. Bringing their decades of collective experience as actors, directors and producers, they have expanded AYA training to include offerings for ALL ages through regular classes, specialist workshops, and private tutorials.
“AYA was a HUGE part in shaping not only me as an actor but me as a person.”
